Solutions Architect (Insurance)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Architect (Insurance) based in Brazil.

This role combines enterprise solution architecture, cloud technology, and deep insurance industry expertise to design forward-looking digital solutions.
You will work directly with corporate clients to understand complex requirements and translate them into practical, scalable architectures.
The position emphasizes modern cloud environments, particularly AWS and GCP, alongside open-source, PaaS, SaaS, APIs, and microservices.
You’ll collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to ensure architectural decisions remain aligned with client objectives and implementation roadmaps.
The role requires both strategic thinking and practical judgment, balancing innovative possibilities with business, technical, and operational constraints.
Working in an international and fully remote environment, you’ll engage with stakeholders ranging from project teams to senior executives and help shape technology solutions across the insurance sector.

Accountabilities:

• Engage directly with clients to understand business and technical requirements and recommend appropriate solution architectures.
• Translate client requirements into actionable technical approaches, solution designs, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align solution architecture with customer needs, product capabilities, and broader roadmaps.
• Work closely with Delivery Managers to guide the architectural approach throughout solution implementation and deployment.
• Explore multiple technical possibilities and creative alternatives to identify effective solutions that balance innovation with business constraints.
• Ensure designed solutions are implemented in line with client expectations, architectural standards, and agreed requirements.
• Assist with identifying, evaluating, specifying, and selecting off-the-shelf technology components that address client needs.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and support to clients throughout implementation.
• Develop solution documentation, value propositions, and, when required, business cases to communicate proposed approaches and their value.
• Contribute to enterprise and product roadmap discussions and help communicate technology strategies to stakeholders at different levels.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, cloud capabilities, and industry trends to continuously improve solution approaches.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and internal stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional experience in solution architecture design and delivery within the insurance industry, with exposure to multiple lines of business.
• Strong experience delivering cloud-based technology products and solutions in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of insurance business processes across multiple areas and at least two lines of business.
• Ability to define, communicate, and socialize product or enterprise roadmaps with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate complex client requirements into actionable solution architectures.
• Understanding of business architecture models, patterns, and enterprise solution design principles.
• Experience designing innovative solutions to business problems while balancing technical possibilities with practical business constraints.
• Strong understanding of designing highly available, scalable cloud-based applications.
• Experience designing solutions involving relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with API- and microservices-centric architectures.
• Exposure to authentication and authorization concepts, including SSO, SAML, and identity federation.
• Broad understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS and/or GCP experience strongly relevant to the role.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, architectural approaches, and industry practices independently.
• Familiarity with low-code platforms and their potential business benefits is advantageous.
• While hands-on development is not the primary focus, experience with multiple programming languages and database technologies is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and structure business requirements.
• Excellent relationship management, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate solution strategies and enterprise roadmaps effectively with stakeholders ranging from project teams to C-level executives.
• Strong ability to engage diverse audiences and build compelling solution proposals and business cases.
• Architecture certification such as TOGAF or Zachman is advantageous.
• Cloud certification and broad knowledge of the capabilities of a major cloud platform are advantageous.
• High proficiency in English as a primary working language.
