Accountabilities:

  • Lead the migration of data pipelines and workloads from Cloudera/Hadoop environments to Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, and governance.
  • Design, implement, and optimize data architectures, defining transitions from AS-IS to TO-BE states in alignment with business and technical needs.
  • Develop robust data ingestion, transformation, and loading pipelines using modern ELT and data engineering best practices.
  • Apply advanced modeling approaches such as Data Vault and implement incremental and idempotent data processing strategies.
  • Act as a technical lead, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring data engineering team members.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, ensuring version control, automated testing, and deployment reliability.
  • Establish observability frameworks including monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting for end-to-end data pipeline visibility.
  • Apply FinOps practices to optimize Snowflake usage, improve cost efficiency, and ensure resource governance.
  • Requirements:

    • Strong experience as a Data Engineer working with large-scale data platforms and enterprise environments.
    • Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Solid background in Hadoop/Cloudera ecosystems and migration projects from legacy data platforms.
    • Strong expertise in Apache Spark, advanced SQL, and data orchestration tools.
    • Experience designing and building ELT pipelines and modern data architectures (Data Vault knowledge is a plus).
    • Experience implementing CI/CD practices for data pipelines and automation workflows.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cost optimization in cloud data environments.
    • Fluent English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher preferred).
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary aligned with experience and market standards
      • Remote-first work model within Brazil
      • Comprehensive benefits package (health, wellness, and support programs)
      • Career development and continuous learning opportunities
      • Access to modern technologies and large-scale data projects
      • Collaborative, innovation-driven, and global work environment
      • Participation in impactful digital transformation initiatives
