Sr. Lead Software Engineer

This senior engineering role sits at the intersection of architecture, hands-on development, and technical leadership within a fast-paced, product-driven environment. You will be deeply involved in designing and shipping scalable full-stack solutions using modern technologies, primarily TypeScript and Ruby-based components. The position emphasizes strong ownership, with expectations to actively contribute code while shaping system design and engineering standards. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate complex user needs into robust, scalable features. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and deliver high-quality production code as a hands-on senior technical contributor across full-stack systems, primarily using TypeScript and supporting Ruby components
• Architect scalable features and systems across monolithic, microservices, and micro-frontend architectures while ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Partner with product and design teams to translate user and business requirements into well-structured technical solutions
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and setting high development standards across the team
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and strengthening a growing regional engineering team
• Promote a high-velocity delivery culture focused on small iterations, continuous deployment, and frequent releases
• Instrument features, analyze data, and use insights to guide technical and product decisions
• Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and output

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience building and shipping enterprise-scale software with strong full-stack engineering expertise
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and solid experience with Ruby on Rails or similar backend frameworks
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns including monoliths, microservices, and micro-frontends
• Proven experience working in agile environments with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Demonstrated leadership in improving engineering quality through mentorship, code reviews, and technical guidance
• Experience contributing to hiring processes and team development in fast-growing engineering organizations
• Strong communication skills with experience working across distributed, cross-cultural teams
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a strong bias toward action and delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity workflows
