Support Engineer, SAP HCM
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Support Engineer, SAP HCM based in Brazil.
This role sits within a global support environment focused on delivering high-quality SAP HCM and Payroll assistance to enterprise clients.
You will act as a trusted technical and functional advisor, helping customers resolve complex SAP issues through structured troubleshooting and deep system expertise.
The position combines hands-on problem-solving with client-facing support, ensuring stable and efficient business operations.
You will work closely with international teams in a 24/7 support model, contributing to a seamless global service experience.
The role requires strong SAP HCM knowledge, especially in Payroll and localization topics, with exposure to Mexican regulatory frameworks.
You will also support system improvements, data correction initiatives, and best-practice sharing across clients.
This is a high-impact support role where technical depth and customer focus directly improve business continuity and client satisfaction.
Accountabilities:
- Provide advanced functional and technical support for SAP HCM and Payroll modules, diagnosing and resolving complex client issues through structured troubleshooting methods.
- Deliver remote support, training, and guidance to clients, ensuring effective use of SAP functionalities and business processes.
- Analyze, identify, and correct data issues by developing scripts and applying SAP best practices for system integrity.
- Support and maintain client-specific customizations, offering recommendations on improvements and configuration approaches.
- Act as a technical/functional advisor for assigned client accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with global support teams in a 24/7 environment to ensure consistent and timely issue resolution.
- Contribute to knowledge management, diagnostic tools, and continuous improvement of support methodologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP HCM/Payroll experience, including implementation and support activities.
- Strong expertise in SAP ECC, including configuration, administration, and integration across modules.
- Solid knowledge of payroll localization, particularly Mexican tax and regulatory requirements (CFDI, ISR, IMSS, SUA, IDSE).
- 10+ years of experience supporting application end-users in enterprise environments is highly valued.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues across multiple modules with strong analytical and logical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer focus, adaptability under pressure, and ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
- SAP certification and consulting experience are considered strong advantages.
