Tax Analyst

In this role, you will take ownership of complex U.S. tax compliance and advisory activities within a fast-growing, remote-first environment. You will play a key role in ensuring full compliance across federal, state, and local tax obligations while also contributing to strategic tax planning initiatives that optimize business performance. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to translate complex tax regulations into actionable business guidance. You will collaborate closely with finance, legal, and leadership teams, supporting key corporate initiatives such as restructuring, audits, and transactions. This is a high-impact role where precision, analytical thinking, and strategic insight directly influence business decisions. You will also help monitor regulatory changes and ensure the organization remains compliant in an evolving tax landscape.
Accountabilities
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end tax compliance and advisory activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with U.S. tax regulations. Your work will directly support financial integrity, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income, sales, and payroll taxes
- Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize the organizationβs tax position
- Provide technical tax guidance on business decisions, transactions, and corporate structures
- Manage the tax provision process (ASC 740) and support external audit activities
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess business impact
- Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities
- Support tax audits, notices, and regulatory inquiries
- Partner with finance and legal teams on M&A, restructuring, and strategic initiatives
- Mentor and support junior tax team members when applicable
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations (mandatory)
- Proven experience in tax compliance and tax planning within corporate or public accounting
- Hands-on experience with ASC 740 tax provision and reporting
- CPA certification required; advanced taxation qualification preferred
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), including executive-level interaction
- Prior experience working remotely with U.S.-based companies (required)
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Experience in multi-entity structures, M&A, or international tax is a plus
- Exposure to tax technology tools (e.g., ONESOURCE, Vertex) is an advantage
