Tech Lead - Mobile

We are looking for a technical leader to drive the evolution of a high-performance native mobile product and its supporting backend architecture.
This role will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, and resilient end-to-end solutions in a cloud environment.
You will work at the intersection of mobile engineering, backend development, cloud infrastructure, and product strategy.
The position requires strong technical ownership, architectural vision, and the ability to guide engineering teams toward high-quality deliveries.

Accountabilities:

The Tech Lead - Mobile will be responsible for leading the technical direction of mobile solutions, ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and operational excellence. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to transform user needs into robust technical solutions.

• Design and evolve end-to-end architecture for native mobile applications and backend services, including BFF (Backend for Frontend) patterns to optimize data consumption and application performance.
• Define and manage cloud infrastructure strategies using AWS services, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and efficient deployment processes.
• Establish CI/CD practices for backend services and mobile application delivery pipelines.
• Drive mobile performance improvements, including crash-free rates, API response times, caching strategies, offline capabilities, and secure communication between applications and servers.
• Translate product goals and user experience metrics into technical requirements, observability strategies, and system architecture decisions.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards while mentoring developers and promoting best practices such as Clean Code, TDD, and observability.
• Ensure the adoption of quality practices across development cycles, including automated testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior technology professional with strong experience in mobile ecosystems, backend architecture, and cloud-native solutions, combined with technical leadership skills and a focus on engineering excellence.

• Solid experience building and maintaining scalable microservices using Spring Boot with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Practical experience with AWS services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of native mobile application architecture, including Android with Kotlin and/or iOS with Swift.
• Experience with mobile design patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs, gRPC, Webhooks, authentication, and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2 and JWT.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, AWS CloudWatch, or Firebase Crashlytics.
• Experience with automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
