In this role, you will act as a strategic technical leader at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and business, driving high-impact initiatives focused on fraud prevention and application security. You will guide the design and evolution of scalable, secure systems while ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help shape robust antifraud solutions that operate in real time and at scale. Accountabilities:
- Serve as the main technical reference for antifraud initiatives, guiding teams on best practices and solution design
- Ensure adherence to high standards of software development, architecture, and security
- Conduct strategic code reviews and support critical technical decision-making processes
- Monitor team deliveries, technical metrics, and risk factors, ensuring continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define scalable and secure technical solutions
- Mentor and support developers, fostering technical growth and team maturity
- Drive the evolution of antifraud systems, including prevention, detection, and response mechanisms
- Promote secure development practices throughout the entire software lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript, building scalable and secure applications
- Proven expertise in cloud architectures, especially AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudWatch, and KMS
- Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis)
- Experience with system integrations using RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and messaging services like SNS and SQS
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, New Relic, Dynatrace, or Datadog
- Strong knowledge of application security, including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, PKI, WAF, Secrets Management, and OWASP Top 10
- Experience with antifraud solutions, including decision engines, biometric verification, and real-time risk analysis
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP ASVS, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST CSF
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive technical excellence
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate technical risks into actionable recommendations
- Certifications in security or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CEH, CSSLP, CompTIA Security+)
