This role is focused on leading a high-performing engineering team within a complex and highly scalable franchise platform ecosystem. You will be responsible for driving both people management and technical excellence, ensuring the delivery of robust digital solutions that support thousands of franchise operations. Acting as a key bridge between engineering, product, and architecture, you will influence strategic decisions while fostering a strong culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability. Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams while shaping technical and product delivery strategy. You will manage both people development and system evolution, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution:
- Lead, develop, and grow a team of software engineers, including recruitment, performance management, feedback, and career development.
- Drive technical decisions across architecture, scalability, security, quality, DevOps, and data engineering practices.
- Contribute to product and technology planning, ensuring alignment between roadmap priorities and engineering execution.
- Promote engineering excellence by strengthening software development culture, best practices, and continuous learning.
- Oversee and improve software delivery flow using Kanban and Lean principles, including dependency, risk, and incident management.
- Support backlog management and roadmap execution, enabling autonomy and high performance across teams.
- At least 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams directly.
- Strong background in software development for distributed systems and digital platforms.
- Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, REST APIs, Micro Frontends, Design Systems, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, cloud environments, and DevOps practices (including Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience with Agile environments, particularly Kanban and Lean methodologies.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make decisions based on data and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
