Technical Writer

This role focuses on transforming complex technical knowledge into clear, structured, and engaging written content for developer and learner audiences.
You will collaborate closely with subject-matter experts to capture raw insights from notes, code, and discussions.
Your work will shape narrative-driven technical books, guides, and documentation that make advanced topics accessible.
The position blends writing, technical understanding, and validation through hands-on testing of examples.
You will help maintain a consistent, user-friendly voice across documentation and learning resources.
It is a remote contract opportunity designed for professionals who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced technical environments.

Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with SMEs to extract, structure, and translate complex technical knowledge into clear written content.
• Draft high-quality technical documentation that is 70–80% complete and ready for editorial refinement.
• Produce both conceptual explanations and practical, step-by-step technical walkthroughs.
• Validate technical accuracy by testing examples and ensuring alignment with internal standards and best practices.
• Contribute to and maintain a clear, consistent, and learner-focused content voice across materials.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience in technical writing, ideally within SaaS or developer-focused environments.
• Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, structured narratives.
• Experience working with docs-as-code environments (e.g., GitHub, Markdown, static site generators).
• Excellent collaboration skills with engineers, product teams, and subject-matter experts.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and clarity in technical content.
• Bonus: Background in editorial work, publishing, or content production.
