This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET Framework / WPF) in Latin America.

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to enhance and modernize a large-scale desktop application built on .NET Framework and WPF. In this role, you will work closely with a global team of developers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and performant software solutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive, taking ownership of feature development, refactoring legacy components, and optimizing application performance. This is a remote-first environment that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, offering the chance to make a direct impact on product quality and user experience.

Accountabilities

· Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using .NET Framework (4.5–4.8), C#, and WPF.

· Implement rich, interactive user interfaces using XAML while applying MVVM principles.

· Enhance existing features and build new components in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

· Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize for responsiveness, stability, and memory efficiency.

· Write clean, testable, and maintainable code adhering to established coding standards.

· Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery of features.

· Diagnose and resolve complex issues, and participate in refactoring legacy code and modernization efforts.

· Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

· Based in Latin America.

· 7+ years of professional software development experience.

· Strong expertise in .NET Framework (4.5–4.8), C#, WPF, and XAML.

· Proficient in MVVM architecture, data binding, and dependency injection.

· Solid understanding of multi-threaded programming, UI performance, and memory management.

· Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.

· Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.

· Preferred: experience with WCF services, REST APIs, performance profiling/debugging tools, Agile/Scrum environments, and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
