Community Programs Coordinator
About the Role
We are hiring a Community Programs Coordinator to help bring MDS community initiatives to life. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will own the day-to-day execution of key programs and engagement initiatives, ensuring members have a seamless, valuable experience while helping the Community team scale its impact.
This is a highly autonomous, execution-focused role. You will take ownership of specific programs from start to finish, coordinating logistics, communicating with members, facilitating participation, tracking outcomes, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Whether you're launching a new Squad, driving participation in an engagement initiative, or helping members connect with the right people and opportunities, your job is to make sure great ideas become reality.
Success in this role requires a combination of strong people skills and operational excellence. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and take pride in creating experiences that members genuinely value. You are equally comfortable having a one-on-one conversation with a member and managing the moving pieces behind a program's successful execution.
Note: A US Visa is required
A representative scenario:
The Community team launches a new Squad initiative. You identify potential participants, conduct outreach, coordinate scheduling, facilitate the first several meetings, and monitor engagement as the group develops. Along the way, you notice one member who would benefit from an introduction to another founder in the community and another who may be a strong future Squad moderator. You make the connection, document the insights, and share recommendations with the Community Manager. By the time the Squad becomes self-sustaining, members are engaged, relationships have formed, and the program is delivering measurable value. That's the standard.
Key Responsibilities
Community Programs Ownership
- Own and execute specific Community programs end-to-end, ensuring members have a consistent, high-quality experience from launch through ongoing participation.
- Coordinate logistics, communications, participation, follow-up, and reporting for the programs you manage.
- Monitor program performance and recommend improvements based on member feedback and participation trends.
Squads Facilitation & Growth
- Launch and facilitate new MDS Squads through their first 3-6 meetings, establishing the structure and momentum needed for long-term success.
- Support Squad members, troubleshoot challenges, and identify opportunities to strengthen participation and accountability.
- Develop future Squad moderators who can sustain group momentum independently.
Member Engagement & Outreach
- Build relationships with members and connect them to relevant programs, events, introductions, and opportunities within MDS.
- Execute targeted outreach and follow-up campaigns to increase participation, support engagement initiatives, and help members get more value from their membership.
- Identify members who may benefit from additional support and escalate important opportunities or concerns to the Community Manager.
Community Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Gather member feedback and surface meaningful insights, trends, and opportunities to the Community team.
- Track engagement outcomes and maintain accurate records of outreach, program participation, and member interactions.
- Collaborate with Community and Operations teams to improve workflows, member experiences, and engagement initiatives over time.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build genuine trust quickly across a wide range of personalities, from introverted operators to high-energy founders, without ever feeling scripted or corporate.
- Naturally proactive and self-directed with a proven ability to identify what needs attention and act on it without waiting for direction. You manage your own outreach cadence, track your own interactions, and follow through consistently.
- Comfortable facilitating group dynamics and leading conversations in a way that creates real structure and accountability without feeling overly formal or transactional.
- Strong intuition about people and community health including the ability to read early warning signs of disengagement, conflict, or group dysfunction and respond appropriately.
- Organized and detail-oriented enough to manage multiple member relationships and Squad groups simultaneously without losing track of who needs what and when.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine comfort engaging with founders and operators as peers, not as a service provider. You hold your own in conversations with serious, successful people.
- Valid US Visa required. This role involves occasional travel to US-based MDS events and gatherings. Candidates must hold a valid US Visa at the time of offer.
- Experience in communities, masterminds, coaching groups, founder ecosystems, startups, or similar environments where you were responsible for engagement, relationships, or program execution.
Preferred
- Background in community management, member success, or customer success in a membership, subscription, or high-touch B2B environment.
- Experience facilitating small group programs (masterminds, cohorts, accountability groups, or Squads) from launch through self-sufficiency.
- Familiarity with the ecommerce, Amazon seller, or DTC founder world so you understand what MDS members are dealing with and can engage with authenticity rather than learning the vocabulary on the job.
- Experience using community platforms, CRM tools, or engagement tracking systems (Airtable, ClickUp, Circle, Slack, or similar) to manage member relationships and report on engagement health.
- Comfort with data, you can look at engagement metrics, identify anomalies, and translate what you see into actionable recommendations without needing a data analyst to interpret it for you.
What We Are Not Looking For
We are not looking for someone who waits for members to come to them. Engagement and retention in a community like MDS require genuine initiative, you notice who’s drifting, you reach out before they go quiet, and you do it because you actually care about whether they’re getting value. If you are most comfortable in a reactive mode, this role will feel wrong.
We are not looking for someone who communicates from a template. Our members are accomplished, perceptive people who recognize generic outreach immediately. Every message you send needs to feel like it came from someone who actually knows them. If you can’t operate at that level of personalization consistently, this role will be difficult.
We are not looking for someone who is people-oriented but not operationally disciplined. You need to track your interactions, maintain accurate records, and report on outcomes in a way the team can act on. The relationship skills and the operational habits both need to be present.
