Email & Content Marketing Specialist - Remote/Worldwide
Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that pairs remote work with top-tier talent. We help individuals from around the world connect with great companies that are looking for their specific skill set. Our mission is to provide great jobs to talented people, no matter where they are located.
About the Role
Our client is an AI writing tool for students. This role keeps two of our most important acquisition channels running: broadcast email and SEO content. You will work alongside the SEO managers and the growth team, owning the day-to-day execution that turns strategy into shipped campaigns and published pages.
Two mandates:
- Email Marketing. Plan, build, and send broadcast email campaigns across acquisition lists, dormant audiences, and academic calendar pushes.
- Content Marketing. Produce, publish, and optimize on-site content in line with our SEO strategy, focused on academic integrity, ethical AI writing, and student utility.
This is an execution-heavy role for someone who likes shipping. The strategy is set by the SEO and growth leads. You make it real.
What You Will Own
Email Broadcasts
- Plan and execute the broadcast send calendar across acquisition lists, dormant audiences, and academic calendar campaigns.
- Build, QA, and ship campaigns in the ESP, including segmentation, scheduling, and link tracking.
- Manage list hygiene, suppression, and unsubscribe handling.
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, preview text, and CTAs.
- Maintain a weekly email performance report covering opens, clicks, conversions, and deliverability
SEO Content Production
- Write, edit, and publish blog posts, guides, and resource pages on the content calendar set by the SEO managers.
- Optimize existing content for search performance: refreshing pages, improving on-page SEO, and updating internal links.
- Coordinate with freelance writers and editors when volume requires it.
- Maintain on-page SEO standards: titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema, and internal linking.
- Track content performance (rankings, organic traffic, page-level conversion) and flag pages that need attention.
Reporting and Coordination
- Weekly email performance report shared with the growth team.
- Monthly content performance report shared with the SEO team.
- Flag anomalies, surface optimization opportunities, and propose tests or content updates based on what the data shows.
What Success Looks Like
By the end of Week 2, ESP and CMS access will be set up, the first broadcast campaign will have shipped, and the first content piece will be edited and published.
By the 30-day mark, we'll have a weekly email and monthly content reporting cadence established, at least three broadcast campaigns sent, and a backlog of content pieces in production.
By 60 days, we'll be in steady-state shipping: the broadcast calendar running on time, content cadence hitting SEO team targets, and an active A/B testing program.
By 90 days, we should see measurable lift on email engagement (opens, clicks, conversions) and content performance (organic traffic to owned pages), with clean reporting and consistent execution.
