About the Role

You’ll work directly with the founding team to design and implement scalable systems that blend AI and human-in-the-loop support, helping women access personalized, continuous care. As the Founding Engineer, you’ll be responsible for technical architecture decisions, hands-on development, and helping shape the long-term engineering culture of the company.

What You’ll Do

Design and implement scalable AI + human-in-the-loop support systems
Build tools for pregnancy planning, tracking, and clinician workflows
Collaborate with founders to set technical priorities and product roadmap
Establish a robust, maintainable codebase from the ground up
Ensure data integrity, security, and HIPAA compliance as the platform scales
Ship new features rapidly and thoughtfully, iterating based on user feedback
(Eventually) mentor and recruit engineers as the team grows

What We’re Looking For

3–7 years of full-stack engineering experience (preferably in fast-paced startups)
Strong backend and database architecture skills
Experience with React Native (our current mobile stack) and modern frameworks
Proven ability to ship production-ready products quickly
Strong understanding of system design and architecture
Excellent communication and collaboration skills — this role interacts daily with the founding team
High English proficiency required (daily communication with U.S. founders)
Preferred: prior experience in healthtech, HIPAA compliance, or regulated data systems
Bonus: experience building mobile apps (iOS/Android) or AI/ML products

Compensation

💰 Salary: USD $70K–100K/year (up to $120K for exceptional candidates)
💎 Equity: 1–2%, depending on experience and seniority
