BTG and EDI Consultant (with SAP SD/MM process background)About the Job You Are ConsideringCapgemini is seeking a B2G (Business-to-Government) & EDI Specialist with exposure of SAP SD/MM to join our Supply Chain and Digital Integration team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing electronic data interchange (EDI) processes that support critical business and government transactions (like Nfe etc) You will work across complex supply chain ecosystems to ensure secure, accurate, and compliant data exchange between internal systems, customers, government agencies, and external trading partners.The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical integration expertise, business process knowledge, and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting EDI-based transactions in regulated environments. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to digital transformation initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry and government standards.Your RoleAs a B2G & EDI Specialist, you will:• Manage end-to-end EDI transactions supporting both B2B and B2G operations.• Support onboarding and maintenance of government agencies and trading partners within the EDI ecosystem.• Develop, configure, and maintain EDI mappings, translation rules, and integration workflows.• Monitor EDI transaction processing, identify issues, troubleshoot errors, and implement corrective actions.• Collaborate with business, IT, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless data exchange.• Support integration between EDI platforms and enterprise applications, including SAP and other ERP systems.• Conduct testing, validation, and deployment activities for new EDI integrations and enhancements.• Ensure adherence to ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, XML, and other industry-standard EDI protocols.• Maintain documentation related to EDI processes, business rules, trading partner specifications, and support procedures.• Participate in compliance reviews, audits, and data quality initiatives.• Analyze transaction performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.• Act as a key point of contact for EDI-related support, issue resolution, and partner communications.• Provide guidance and training to business users on EDI processes, standards, and best practices.Your Skills and Experience• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.• Experience supporting EDI, B2B, or B2G integration environments.• Strong understanding of EDI standards, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, and AS2 communication protocols.• Experience with EDI mapping, translation tools, and integration platforms.• Knowledge of SAP IDocs, ALE integration frameworks, or similar ERP integration technologies.• Experience troubleshooting EDI transactions, data validation issues, and integration failures.• Understanding of file transfer technologies including FTP, SFTP, and AS2.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and client-focused environment.
