Product Data Specialist
We are seeking a Product Data Specialist to join the Merchandising team of a national dealer of school and institutional furniture serving K–12 schools, higher education institutions, and organizations across the U.S.
This role will help manage a growing backlog of new products and ensure product catalogs remain accurate, complete, and on schedule. You will take raw manufacturer information and transform it into polished, accurate product listings and catalog-ready content.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically comfortable, a strong writer and proofreader, and able to learn new products and systems quickly. This is a self-directed role where accuracy, organization, and consistent follow-through are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Product Data & Merchandising
- Learn new furniture and equipment product lines, including features, materials, dimensions, specifications, and intended uses.
- Collect, review, organize, and standardize product information from manufacturers.
- Communicate directly with manufacturers to verify, clarify, and complete missing or inconsistent product information.
- Transform raw manufacturer data into accurate, customer-ready product content.
- Use Claude and custom AI workflows to compile, restructure, and prepare product information for internal systems.
- Publish completed products to live systems and the company website.
- Maintain accurate and consistent product listings across catalogs and digital platforms.
Catalog & Content Management
- Assemble product and catalog-page elements on Trello cards for the Graphic Arts team.
- Review graphic proofs carefully for accuracy, formatting, and content issues.
- Proofread catalog materials and coordinate corrections through final approval.
- Ensure product information, descriptions, specifications, and supporting content are consistent across materials.
Image & Technical Support
- Perform basic image editing, including resizing, cropping, and color adjustments.
- Work comfortably with browser-based systems and web applications.
- Use basic HTML to support product content and web listings.
- Apply strong technical and analytical thinking when working with structured product information and digital systems.
Pipeline & Process Management
- Manage multiple products through the onboarding pipeline and meet established deadlines.
- Track outstanding information and follow up with manufacturers or internal teams as needed.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and potential errors before products are published.
- Help improve product-data workflows and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Prior experience in merchandising, product data, product content, e-commerce, or a similar role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience communicating with manufacturers or vendors to obtain and verify product information.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong Excel proficiency, including formulas and functions.
- Comfortable working with web-based programs, digital systems, and technology.
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
- Ability to perform basic image editing such as resizing, cropping, and color adjustments.
- Strong technical mindset with the ability to understand and organize detailed product specifications.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Quick learner who can become familiar with new products, systems, and processes efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be located in Latam.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Professional experience using Claude or other AI tools to restructure, summarize, and prepare information for business systems.
- Experience with n8n or other workflow automation platforms.
- Experience working with furniture, equipment, or other specification-driven products.
- Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) systems.
- Experience using Trello.
- Previous professional experience incorporating AI tools into product-data or content workflows.
- E-commerce or catalog-management experience.
